In Catalan, however, when the word starts with a vowel or h+vowel, it is always* (l')
There are a few exceptions with certain female words, but it is not important now.

The Catalan alphabet has some special letters:
Ç, which makes the sound /s/
Caça, abraçada, Barça.
L·L which makes a geminated /l/ sound.
Col·laborar, il·legal.
Per caçar cal col·laborar.
